Wittgrove Bariatric Center performs their procedures at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The entire staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is dedicated to serving the needs of the bariatric patient. Scripps Memorial staff have attended in-depth empathy training and the clinical staff have had specialized training on the clinical care of post-operative bariatric patients. The hospital has a dedicated wing for our surgical patients staffed with highly, compassionate nurses. The goal of the entire staff is to provide competent caring service to our patients.
Established in 1924 by Ellen Browning Scripps, Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, one of the county’s six designated trauma centers, offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services including 24-hour emergency services; intensive care; interventional cardiology and radiology; radiation oncology; cardiothoracic and orthopedic services; neurology; ophthalmology; and mental health and psychology services.
Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla moved from downtown La Jolla to a 43-acre site east of Interstate 5 in 1964 and today has 372 licensed beds and more than 2,200 employees. A wide range of specialty services and programs are located on the hospital’s campus including the Cardiac Treatment Center, The Whittier Institute for Diabetes and Scripps Polster Breast Care Center.
